The Story Behind the Front-and-Back Design

Afi Adjessom

Almost everything we make says two things: a short line on the front, and a longer one on the back. It's not a styling choice. It's the whole idea.

The front is for you

The front line is the one you see in the mirror before you leave the house — “Rise With Whajah”, “Keep Rising”, “Heal. Grow. Rise.” It's short because reminders that work are short. You don't read it so much as absorb it in passing.

The back is for everyone else

The back line is longer, and it's aimed outward — at the person walking behind you in the queue, on the train, up the stairs. “Real Stories. Real Strength. Real Healing.” “Your Story Isn't Over.” “Whatever you're facing, don't let it become the end of your story.” You'll never see their reaction. That's kind of the point. You carry a message you didn't have to say out loud, and it does its work without you managing it.

Why two audiences on one shirt

Because that's how encouragement actually travels. The thing that helped you is often the thing someone else needs to hear, and the easiest way to pass it on is to wear it and keep walking. The Signature Tee and Signature Rise Hoodie are the clearest version of this: brand name on the front, the line we built everything around on the back.
